The program includes classroom instruction, laboratory practice, and required clinical training. Graduates of the Basic Nursing Assistant program are eligible to sit for the Illinois CNA competency exam, subject to state requirements.

Medical Administrative Assistant

SCC's Medical Administrative Assistant program is a 100% online, asynchronous certificate you can complete from anywhere in Illinois in about 39 weeks. It prepares you for entry-level medical office roles and the Certified Medical Administrative Assistant (CMAA) exam — no clinical placement or on-campus visits required. You'll learn about medical terminology, Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems, scheduling, HIPAA, and billing fundamentals. Total cost: $18,740.
