Admission Requirements and Procedures
Admission requirements vary by program and are subject to change. To enroll in any of the post-secondary programs offered at State Career College (SCC), each prospective student must meet the following requirements:
- Participate in an interview
- Be at least 17 years old
- Government-issued ID
- Graduated from high school or obtained a General Education Development (GED) certificate
- Sign the High School Attestation form
- Meet the additional program-specific requirements outlined below
Practical Nursing
- Complete health assessment by a healthcare professional
- Provide immunization records(including TB Screening, Hepatitis B Series or Waiver, Measles Mumps Rubella (MMR), COVID, and Tetanus)
- 7 Panel Drug Screen
- Pass a criminal background check
- Fingerprint Background Check
- CPR Certification
- Additional requirements may be required
Medical Assistant
- Complete health assessment by a healthcare professional
- Provide immunization records(including TB Screening, Hepatitis B Series or Waiver, Measles Mumps Rubella (MMR), COVID, and Tetanus)
- 7 Panel Drug Screen
- Fingerprint Background Check
- CPR Certification
- Additional requirements may be required
Basic Nursing Assistant (CNA Training)
- Provide immunization records(including TB Screening, Hepatitis B Series or Waiver, Measles Mumps Rubella (MMR), COVID, and Tetanus)
- Additional requirements may be required
Phlebotomy Technician
- Complete health assessment by a healthcare professional
- Provide immunization records(including TB Screening, Hepatitis B Series or Waiver, Measles Mumps Rubella (MMR), COVID, and Tetanus)
- Pass a criminal background check
- CPR Certification
- Additional requirements may be required
Medical Administrative Assistant
- Reliable internet access
- Personal computer for online coursework
- Additional requirements may be required
