Scholarships and Grants

Scholarships and grants are typically funds that are applied towards your tuitions and can lower the overall cost of a program. Unlike loans that have to be repaid, most scholarships and grants do not have to be repaid.

State Career College gladly accepts third party scholarships and grants on behalf of its students. Here are a few resources to explore and/or apply to:

Note: SCC cannot guarantee eligibility of third party opportunities. Not all opportunities will be applicable towards our institution and/or our programs. Additional opportunities may exist that are not listed here.

Federal Pell Grant (FPELL)

Federal Pell Grants are awarded to undergraduate students who have not earned a bachelor’s or professional degree.

Because they are grants, students are not responsible for repayment. Eligibility is determined by the students’ needs, the cost of attendance, and the amount of money appropriated by Congress to fund the program.

The amount of the grant is determined by the standard formula used by the United States Department of Education. The Federal Pell Grants assist with funding post-secondary education.
