Admissions Requirements

State Career College requires entering students to be at least 17 years of age and have earned a HS Diploma or GED. Each applicant will also need to meet with an Admissions Advisor and submit a formal application. Additional admissions criteria may also be required, but varies by program. Additional details by programs can be found below.

Practical Nursing Admissions Requirements

  1. To be accepted for admission, State Career College requires entering students to be at least 17 years of age, have graduated from high school, or have secured a GED.
  2. Students must sign the High School Attestation form.
  3. Students must meet the 60% score for admission entrance test requirement: the basic Reading, Math, Science, and
    English skills. For admission test scores below 60%, please refer to the admission policy regarding test scores
    below 60%.
  4. Criminal background check with no disqualifying records.
  5. Five Panel Urine Drug Test.
  6. Students must attend the Distance Education orientation before class.
