Admissions Requirements

State Career College requires entering students to be at least 17 years of age and have earned a HS Diploma or GED. Each applicant will also need to meet with an Admissions Advisor and submit a formal application. Additional admissions criteria may also be required, but varies by program. Additional details by programs can be found below.

Practical Nursing Admissions Requirements

  1. Applicants must be at least eighteen (18) years of age at the time of making an application to the NCLEX-PN.
  2. The applicant must show verification of high school graduation by a diploma or high school transcript (showing date of graduation) or by test scores from the GED.
  3. Students must demonstrate academic readiness by bypassing the PN entrance exam. Benchmark: 60%.
  4. Applicant must have clinical healthcare-related work experience or successfully completed a program in the clinical healthcare-related program from an accredited institution recognized by the USDE (Certified Nursing Assistant, Medical Assistant, EMT, Paramedics, Phlebotomist, Patient Care Technician).

Basic Nursing Assistant Admissions Requirements
